KeyQuencer was designed to use very little memory, but its memory requirements increase as you add more extensions. A minimal installation could fit in 50K, whereas the maximum amount of system memory used (when all the extensions are installed, KQ Apple Events is running and lots of macros have been defined in the control panel) is currently about 120K.
The main KeyQuencer code and its internal tables require about 35K. KQ Apple Events is an invisible application with a fixed memory partition of 16K. The extensions have various memory requirements, ranging from less than 1K to more than 5K; the average memory used by each extension is about 1.5K.
All the KeyQuencer extensions are loaded in memory at startup, so you should leave unused extensions out of your KeyQuencer Extensions folder to save some memory. Note that having the code in memory all the time is a necessity for most extensions, and it also allows PowerBook users to execute their macros without spinning up the hard disk.
Since the KeyQuencer extensions are loaded at startup time, you have to restart before the memory used by a removed extension is released. You must also restart to enable any new extensions that were added to the KeyQuencer Extensions folder.
